Pittsburgh Brewers Ball

Friday, April 24th, 2009

brewers09copyWe are only a week away from the 2nd annual Brewers Ball and I can barely contain my excitement. Last year I attended this event and it was an amazing time, so much of a good time, this year I volunteered for the event.

The Brewers Ball is a beer tasting and food pairing event. $65 dollars ($60 if you preorder tickets) gets you in the door, tasting glass, all the beer you can drink and all the food you can eat. Bring your check book too, as there will be tons of amazing items being auctioned off.

To preorder your tickets go to http://www.brewersball.org.

It’s cocktail attire so come dressed in your best!

The Vader Project is coming to Pittsburgh!

Monday, February 9th, 2009

“Vader Project is a reimagining of the iconic Darth Vader helmet by some of today’s hottest underground and pop surrealist painters, artists and designers.”

I just found out that the Vader Project is coming to Pittsburgh today and to say I’m excited would be a huge understatement, I’m not entirely sure that there are even words that can describe how I feel, but this kid comes close to showing my excitment.

I have been following the Vader Project on flickr for some time now and I’m pretty much freaking out now that it is coming to Pittsburgh’s very own Warhol Museum.
