So one night not too long ago I was sitting on my couch interneting and I started playing with search.twitter.com looking at the mass amounts of people posting photos to Twitter via Twitpic . I found the amount of photos getting uploaded astounding, at times close to 10 photos a second. But with that many photos getting posted every second its hard to visually comprehend, so I came up with an idea for an app, WHAM, Twitpic-viewer was conceived.

So using the Twitter API, I run a search for “twitpic.com”, return some JSON, parse it and loadin the photos.

I think it works pretty well, it is kinda like a train wreck though, you just can’t look away. Also be aware I don’t control the content, so odds are you will some nudity and other questionable content, enjoy!*I currently DO NOT limit how many images will be loaded in, so eventually it will crash your browser if you let it run long enough.

This is a response post to my post from November about how Verizon hates Twitter.

This past Monday I returned from a 2 week backpacking trip around Europe, covering Spain, Germany and Austria. On my return I received one of the greatest gifts ever, Twitter and Verizon now play nice and I get all my updates even the ones with “@” symbols.

Thanks bunches people at Twitter for taking care of this issue in a somewhat timely manner.

I don’t know what the deal is but for some unknown reason when I get Twitter updates to my cell phone(Verizon Motorola RAZR V3m) if they include an “@” symbol anything after the “@” symbol doesn’t show up. The biggest problem with this is that most of the time when an “@” symbol is included in a tweet it is the first thing, therefore I get lots and lots of blank twitter updates. Which angers me to no extent, what does a person have to do around here to get some Twitter updates.

Just to make stuff clear I love me some Twitter and hate me some Verizon.
